Inheriting my love for cooking from my mom at a very young age, I offered private chef/catering services in Japan with exotic dishes around the world I had chances of visiting while working in fashion industry in Tokyo for a long time.

I opened Izakaya Ate in 2018 with zero experience in working in restaurants and with only little English. Struggling my way through catering my version of authentic Japanese food to people in Noosa while literally sleepwalking from stress for the first four years, I am now able to work with a lot less stress as my two chefs are able to cook my original
recipes. Our mission is to make this place a home for Aussies who love Japan.
